A programme is ours — a taster day, a club, a build week. It's never employment, nobody's assessing you, and some carry a small bursary just to cover cost. An apprenticeship is a real, paid job with a real employer, open to 16 and over, and it comes with the requirements that real job does.
No. Every programme listed here is free to take part in, and where there's a bursary (like Summer Build Week) it exists to cover your costs, not the other way round. Travel is covered wherever a programme says so.
For anyone under 16, yes — a short consent form before the first session, and we'll always tell a parent or guardian what's happening and when. For apprenticeships, that's between you and the employer as it would be for any job.
No — apprenticeships are real jobs and follow the same age rules as any employer in the UK, which means 16 and over. If you're younger than that, our programmes are built for exactly this stage, and there'll be an apprenticeship waiting when you're ready.
Nothing is owed and nothing is assumed. Plenty of people come back for another one, some go on to take the quiz and get matched with a mentor, and some just leave with a better idea of what they don't want to do — which is useful too.
